  1. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Control Panel:
  2. This Control Panel requires the new Display Library which is part
  3. of System 7.5.3 and is a separate file on older system. If you
  4. encounter the problem of the board not preserving the resolution
  5. after reboot you may want to upgrade your system to 7.5.3. This can
  6. be done by installing the new system or by upgrading 7.5 with System
  7. Enabler 2.0.

  9. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 4.0.2:
  10. This version fixes the following bugs:
  11. 1. FileMaker Pro text problem.
  12. 2. CorelDraw6 text problem
  13. 3. BBEdit text problem

  15. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 4.0.2b1:
  16. This version fixes the following bugs:
  17. 1.  It works with UMAX S900 machines in all slots now.
  18. 2. QuickTimeVR works correctly now.

  20. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 4.0.1:
  21. This version fixes the compatibility problem that it had with certain
  22. CPU's. It also allows multiple IMS boards in the system now. These
  23. are the know bugs:
  24. 1.  The accelerator doesn't work with UMAX S900 machines when
  25. the board is in the bottom four slots. Moving the board to either of
  26. the top two slots will fix the problem.
  27. 2. QuickTimeVR may not work correctly on 9500MP running
  28. multiprocessor system software.

  30. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 4.0:
  31. This version significantly improves the acceleration over 3.8. It
  32. also fixes the QuickTime acceleration problem that¬†shows up on
  33. recording.

  35. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 3.8:
  36. This version fixes the Umlaut-A problem. The character was not
  37. showing up in previous version. It also fixes the background repaint
  38. problem that somtimes appears in M2 boards.

  40. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 3.6:
  41. This version fixes the text hilite problem and resolves the conflict
  42. with some applications such as Photoshop that sometimes leads to
  43. type 11 error.

  45. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Software 3.5:
  46. This version adds support for the new MP2 and MV2 boards. It also
  47. adds an MPEG hardware scaler.

  49. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ Upgrade version 3.1:
  50. 1. This upgrade applies to Twin Turbo‚Ñ¢ 128M and Twin Turbo‚Ñ¢
  51.    128M2 boards only.
  52. 2. This version fixes the bug that causes LocalTalk to freeze when
  53.     copying large files.
  54. 3. If you have version 2.1 ROM or less with this upgrade, you would be
  55.     able to access all the resolutions the board supports, up to
  56.     1920x1080. Just plug the monitor into the VGA connector and
  57.     leave the Mac connector open. It should come up with default
  58.     resolution or the resolution from last boot. The default resolution
  59.     is 640x480x60Hz for version 2.1 or 2.0 ROM and 832x624x75Hz for
  60.     version 1.x ROM plus the upgrade.

  62. To force the system to the default resolution, follow the following procedure:
  63. - Reboot and hold down command-option-p-r.
  64. - Wait till the system restarts. Release the keys and hold down shift
  65.    key.
  66. - Release the key after the "Welcome to Macintosh. Extensions Off."
  67.    message shows up.
  68. - The system should be in default mode.

  71. Notes on TwinTurbo‚Ñ¢ 128M8:
  72. - The resolution 1920x1080 Millions mode is not supported at 72Hz.
  73. - It is recommended that the system has at least 32M of memory
  74.    installed for maximum performance.
